Jose Cuervo

Right to Party

People support women until they get drunk. After that, whatever happens to them was their fault. Jose knows that your rights don’t evaporate with your tequila shots. They’re making it their mission to provide safety till the sun is up.

Press For Emergency

We’re installing buttons inside of special-edition Cuervo bottles and placing them on bar tops. If you feel uncomfortable with an interaction, open the bottle, and hit the button. It immediately alerts the bartender that something suss is going on.

Sip Safe

We are rolling out a line of paper straws that change colors when they interact with foreign substances. They’ll be placed in all bars, for all drinks, for the safety of all patrons.

Keep It Lit

We are positioning advertisements in walkways near bars. The ads light up when someone walks by, helping to illuminate the way.

Meet Me At Our Spot

Every girl knows that the women’s bathroom is the safest space in the bar. So, Cuervo is rolling out limited pop-up clubs in major cities. Cuervo clubs are normal bars at first glance, but peek inside the women’s restroom and you can find the entrance to the female-identified-only Cuervo speakeasy.

Legal Fund

When the worst happens, who can you call? We are launching a legal fund for survivors of assault. The fund covers legal expenses as well as supporting survivors with mental health resources.

Cuervo Insta Stories

Having an icky bar experience is so normalized that many people just brush it off as “another bad night”. By displaying women’s bar stories on our Instagram stories, we want people to realize that this isn’t normal. Your story deserves to be heard.

The stories you see here were taken anonymously from family and friends.
